An original painting on artist card, painted by George Best and given to a young lady friend (see provenance). The item is signed to the rear: “Lots of love to my favourite Hayley – George Best xxx.”
A 14 x 10 inch depiction of a red devil. The item comes with various certificates of authenticity and has also been authenticated by George’s long-term friend and agent, Phil Hughes.
The item includes provenance letters from the original owner to whom George gifted the piece, as well as from another member of staff who worked with the original owner. It is also signed to both the front and rear of the painting. Please note, both CoAs are included with the item (personal information is currently redacted). The item also comes with a CV from the original owner, confirming their employment at Forest of Mere.
Quite simply, the Manchester United and sporting superstar had unknown depths—a truly stunning piece of work.
